Different segments of movies are
shot at different times. When a scene is ready to be shot, we normally
give 2 to 3 days notice of the pending scene. It's then that you
will be given a specific time and place to be fitted for wardrobe,
your uniform will be tagged and held in your name. You are normally
paid for this time.
In movies like
LEGENDS OF THE FALL and PASSCHENDAELE,
the troops were required to live in WWI trench conditions, practice
tactics and literally live the life for a specified period prior
to shooting the scene. The living conditions are supposed to be
miserable but are essential to the integrity of the battle scenes.
The only two advantages
we offer is that the rounds are not real....and you'll probably
make better money than the members of the 10th Battalion made in
1917.
