BATTLE SCENES - Background

Different segments of movies are shot at different times. When a scene is ready to be shot, we normally give 2 to 3 days notice of the pending scene. It's then that you will be given a specific time and place to be fitted for wardrobe, your uniform will be tagged and held in your name. You are normally paid for this time.

In movies like LEGENDS OF THE FALL and PASSCHENDAELE, the troops were required to live in WWI trench conditions, practice tactics and literally live the life for a specified period prior to shooting the scene. The living conditions are supposed to be miserable but are essential to the integrity of the battle scenes.

The only two advantages we offer is that the rounds are not real....and you'll probably make better money than the members of the 10th Battalion made in 1917.

AVAILABILITY

We will need as many as 1,000 background actors for a 45 day production window beginning on or about 1 August. The shooting schedule will may be either day or night.

In the space below - please indicate your general availability from 1 Aug to 20 Sept:

Once we receive your information, we will be will contact you to set up an interview. Please tell your friends about this unique opportunity to pe a part of Canadian history....and send them to this website.

This is the first feature length movie ever to be made about Canadian soldiers in World War 1. It will become a benchmark in Canadian cinimatography.

ADMINISTRATION:

As you are probably aware, it is our job to find acting work for you. It's a business. We require an annual administration fee of $40 which is payable after we get you the first job. This is to help us cover the cost of running the business. We are also entitled to a modest 15% agency commission on all the movie work we are able to find for you.

When you do a job, your pay is sent to Talent Inc. We will apprise you of the amount due and ask that you bring payment when you come to collect your cheque.

If you have any questions, please contact Paul at (403) 948-7460 or at info@talentinc.ca
